Cascador Deploys Over USD 5 M To Seven African Startups Through Catalytic Fund

Cascador, an Africa-focused platform supporting growth-stage entrepreneurs, deployed more than USD 5 M in debt and equity funding to seven African startups during its second annual Pitch Day in Lagos. The capital was distributed through Cascador’s Catalytic Fund, which provides up to USD 5 M annually to alumni of its ScaleUp program.

The largest allocations went to Agriarche (USD 1.7 M), Koolboks (USD 1.4 M), and Powerstove (USD 1.2 M) as debt facilities. Other recipients included First Electric (USD 357 K, debt), Fortics USD 142 K, debt), Stears (USD 450 K, equity), and Indigenius AI (USD 250 K, equity).

Since launching in 2019, Cascador has supported 70 companies that have collectively raised more than USD 125 M. The organisation says Pitch Day has now deployed over USD 9 M to African founders across its first two editions.
