South African Fintech Zazu Secures Investment From Launch Africa Ventures

South African fintech startup Zazu has secured an undisclosed investment from pan-African venture capital firm Launch Africa Ventures to support its next phase of growth.

Founded by Germain Bahri and Rinse Jacobs, the South Africa-based startup provides a financial operating system (Finance OS) for African SMEs, offering business accounts and cards through an authorised distribution partner of Access Bank South Africa.

Announcing the investment on LinkedIn, Bahri said the backing follows continued product improvements and rapid execution that attracted the attention of leading investors. He added that the funding will help Zazu advance its mission of reimagining financial services for African entrepreneurs.

Launch Africa has completed 15 new investments in the first half of 2026 and previously invested in fintech companies, including Flutterwave, Kuda, Djamo and Peach Payments.
