Yellow Card has raised USD 40 M in a strategic funding round to expand its global stablecoin infrastructure and Global USD Accounts offering.
The round attracted investment from SC Ventures by Standard Chartered, Sony Innovation Fund, Polychain Capital, Blockchain Capital, and other strategic investors, bringing the company’s total funding to more than USD 120 M.
Founded in 2016 by Chris Maurice and Justin Poiroux, Yellow Card enables banks, fintechs, and businesses to access US dollars, manage treasury, and make cross-border payments using stablecoins, notably amassing a sizeable footprint in African markets.
The new funding will support expansion across Latin America and Asia-Pacific, while enhancing local payment rails in more than 50 countries. Yellow Card has processed over USD 10 B in transactions and operates across 22 jurisdictions.
