African E-Commerce Giant Jumia Raises USD 50 M In Equity Funding Led By IFC

African e-commerce company Jumia has raised USD 50 M in post-IPO equity funding, anchored by a USD 25 M investment from the International Finance Corporation (IFC), a member of the World Bank Group. The round also includes investments from existing major shareholders and selected new investors.

The fresh capital comes as Jumia Technologies, founded in 2012 and headquartered in Berlin, works to strengthen its financial position and move toward profitability.

Jumia said the funding will support its operations and growth across its African markets, while the company continues to focus on improving unit economics and reducing cash burn. The raise follows a period of improving performance, with Q2 2026 revenue reaching USD 52 M. Jumia is targeting full-year profitability in 2027.
