Nigerian defence technology startup Terra Industries has raised an additional USD 18 M, bringing its seed funding to approximately USD 52 M.
Founded in 2024 by Nathan Nwachuku and Maxwell Maduka, the Abuja-based company develops autonomous security systems and unmanned technologies for protecting critical infrastructure across Africa.
The latest extension was backed largely by existing investors 8VC, Silent Ventures, Nova Global, Belief Capital, and SV Angel, alongside new investors Norleo Space Investments and Grant Gordon.
Terra previously raised USD 11.75 M in January, followed by a USD 22 M extension led by Lux Capital in February, bringing the seed total to USD 34 M before the latest raise. The new capital will support manufacturing expansion, including a planned facility in Ghana, and international expansion.
