Egyptian Edtech Eduact Acquired By Abwaab To Digitise Tutoring Market

Egyptian edtech software provider Eduact has been acquired by MENA education platform Abwaab, in a move that could expand its reach among the country’s fragmented network of offline tutors and learning centres. Financial terms were not disclosed.

Eduact provides SaaS tools for independent teachers and small learning centres, including content management, grading, payments, and online-offline workflow integration. Its platform helps educators digitise their operations without building their own technology.

The acquisition gives Eduact access to Abwaab’s regional platform and resources as the company shifts from a primarily consumer-focused model toward a B2B2C infrastructure strategy. The combined business could allow Eduact’s teacher network to access Abwaab’s digital content while giving Abwaab’s student users access to physical learning centers powered by Eduact.

Eduact was co-founded and led by Adham, while Abwaab was co-founded and is led by Hamdi Tabbaa. The Cairo-based Eduact team will now operate under Abwaab.
