Kenyan Agritech Startup Farm to Feed Secures USD 171 K From Proparco

Farm to Feed, a Kenyan agritech company founded in 2021 by Claire van Enk, Anouk Boertien and Zara Benosa, has secured a USD 171 K investment from French development finance institution Proparco.

Based in Kenya, the company connects smallholder farmers with buyers through a platform covering sourcing, demand forecasting, sales, logistics, warehousing and payments, helping farmers sell more of their harvest while reducing food waste.

Farm to Feed has 5,500 registered farmers and more than 160 business customers, including hotels, schools, hospitals and food processors. Its Grade Rescue and Ready to Use products also help commercialise surplus and lower-grade produce.

The funding will support its technology, operations, farmer network and value-added activities as it expands beyond Nairobi. The company says farmer income rose 249% and farm-level food loss fell 81% in 2025.
