African Stablecoin Payments Startup Yellow Card Acquires Brazilian Crypto Firm GoMoney

Yellow Card, an Africa-founded stablecoin payments infrastructure provider, has acquired Brazilian virtual asset service provider GoMoney, giving it a locally established operation in Latin America’s largest cryptocurrency market. The deal, completed in October 2026, was announced on Wednesday, with financial terms undisclosed.

Founded in São Paulo in 2018, GoMoney provides stablecoin-based cross-border payment services and will operate as a wholly owned Yellow Card subsidiary, retaining its founders and leadership.

Its acquisition gives Yellow Card access to local real-denominated collections and payouts through Brazil’s Pix payment system, with stablecoin settlement. GoMoney has applied for authorisation from Brazil’s central bank under the country’s new virtual asset regulatory framework.

The deal follows Yellow Card’s USD 40 M strategic funding round in August, which brought its total equity funding above USD 120 M.
