Ilara Health Raises USD 3.75 Mn In Series A Funding

Kenyan Healthtech startup Ilara Health has raised USD 3.75 Mn in Series A round led by TLcom Capital. Other investors who participated include Chandaria Capital, DOB Equity and Global Ventures.

Nairobi-based Ilara Health provides diagnostic services to rural areas of Africa through artificial intelligence-powered devices especially to places not covered by traditional hospitals. The startup raised the series A funding in the same quarter in which it received a US$ 1.1 Mn grant from Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation.
