AgVentures Buys Stake In South African AgriTech Startup Skudu

A pioneering agri-business tech investor in Africa AgVentures acquired a stake in Skudu, a South African agri-marketplace. AgVentures focuses investments on agrifood technology entrepreneurs to build their businesses and help them to expand across Africa.

Launched in 2018, Skudu is an agri marketplace that offers farmers access to purchase agricultural inputs and produce online. The platform connects farmers to the sellers enabling them negotiate and capture terms of the transaction through a blockchain e-contract.
