Senegalese Logistics Startup Chargel Raises USD 2.5 M Seed Funding

Chargel, a trucking platform, has raised a USD 2.5 M seed round led by Logos Ventures. Ventures Platform, Foundation Botnar, DFS Labs, and Seedstars also participated in the round that also included USD 500 K debt. The funding also includes USD 750 K it announced last year.

Chargel matches clients with the most suitable providers (truck and driver) from its network of transporters. Senders are able to track their goods while on the move, and receive notifications once delivery is done. The platform also pools together independent transporters, giving them new earning opportunities. Chargel transporters, operating out of Senegal, make deliveries to neighboring countries Mali, Guinea and Mauritania.
