eCommerce Startup Kasha Raises Funding From Sanofi

Rwanda-based e-commerce platform Kasha raised an equity round from Sanofi Global Health Unit’s Impact Investment Fund. The investment will help Kasha expand into additional countries across Africa.  In 2021, Kasha raised USD 1 M in an equity round from DFC, Swedfund and the Finnfund.

Founded in 2016 by Joanna Bichsel and Christoph Bichsel, Kasha is an e-commerce platform that sells women’s healthcare and hygiene products. The platform delivers a range of healthcare products for female groups in the African regions, such as contraceptives, tampons, and sanitary pads, enabling women to make confidential orders for health and personal care products.
