Kasha Global, a Rwandan eCommerce startup has raised USD 1 Mn in an equity round from the United States International Development Finance Corporation (DFC), alongside investments from the Swedish Development Finance Institution Swedfund, and the Finnish Development Finance Institution, Finnfund. DFC invested through its Portfolio for Impact and Innovation Initiative.
Founded in 2016, Kasha is an eComm marketplace for women’s health products which includes contraceptives, menstrual care, and a range of beauty products. Kasha aims to improve the ways women in emerging markets get personal care and health products they need.
