Winich Farms, a Nigerian Agtech startup focused on streamlining the supply chain for farm produce, has raised USD 3 M in pre-series A funding that included a mix of equity and debt.
The equity portion, amounting to USD 2.5 M, was secured from investors, including Acumen Resilient Agriculture Fund, Climate Resilient Africa Fund, Marula Square, Plug and Play, and Tekedia Capital. Lagos-based Sahel Capital provided the debt funding of USD 590 K.
Founded in 2020 by Richies Winich, Winich Farms aims to simplify market access for small-scale farmers in Nigeria and offer high-quality farm produce to buyers at competitive prices. The company’s platform provides off-takers with inventory management tools, enabling them to efficiently order and manage raw materials sourced from farmers across Nigeria. Winich Farms operates thousands of farm produce collection points in 30 of Nigeria’s 36 states, facilitating a seamless supply chain for agricultural products.
