Proparco Provides USD 2.1 M Guarantee to ASISA ESD Fund

Proparco has announced a USD 2.1 M ARIZ PRIME portfolio guarantee to the ASISA Enterprise and Supplier Development (ESD) Fund, managed by Edge Growth Ventures, a subsidiary of the Edge Growth Group. The fund targets expanding small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in South Africa, particularly those owned by historically disadvantaged individuals, to create sustainable social and environmental impacts.

The ASISA ESD Fund, established by the Association for Savings and Investment South Africa (ASISA) in partnership with Edge Growth, aims to support the growth of SMEs across the country. ASISA, formed in 2008, represents the savings, investment, and insurance sectors, key contributors to the South African economy.
