Three Ghanaian startups, Built Financial Technologies, GrowForMe, and SAYeTECH, have secured a combined USD 500 K from the Africa Ecosystem Catalysts Facility (AECF), a USD 4 M pilot investment vehicle managed by Village Capital.
Backed by the Dutch Entrepreneurial Development Bank (FMO) and the Netherlands Enterprise Agency (RVO), the facility supports early-stage startups in Ghana, Nigeria, and Tanzania focused on climate resilience and economic mobility.
The funded startups provide SME digitisation, agricultural financing, and smart farming equipment, respectively. The latest investments bring the facility’s total funding in Ghana to USD 850 K, following a USD 350 K investment in Rivia and VDL Fulfillment in May. The initiative uses locally led partnerships to identify and support underserved founders.
