Lean Startup Held Its Maiden Event In Cairo
Tuesday, July 10th, 2018, heralded yet another first in the Egyptian entrepreneurial scene as Lean Startup held its first ever event in Cairo; the Egyptian capital. The event tagged; “Lean Startup Night Cairo”, took place at the Oriental Hall of the American University in Cairo and featured a host of speakers, experts and resource persons who were looking to bring some of the country’s entrepreneurs up to speed with the latest trends and best practices in the current entrepreneurship climate. Participants at the event also leveraged the opportunity to interact with both local and international speakers who were featured in the event, some of whom included Robert van Geldrop, Ayman Ismail, Valentina Primo, and Hani Naguib. The meetup series is designed to help the current crop of talents which make up the community of entrepreneurs in the country to connect and exchange ideas while learning the nuances of methodology from a network of experts. The event culminated in a networking session, which was followed by light refreshments.
Digital Crafters Meetup Held In Egypt
In what appears to be another first, Egyptian scene witnessed its Digital Crafters Meetup; a comprehensive meetup program that is geared towards bringing digital marketing to the fore. Digital Crafters Series is a part of Egypt’s WUZZUF Meetups and last week’s event which was tagged “Startups in the Digital Era”, took place on Friday, 13th July, at The Greek Campus, Tahrir, in Cairo. The event brought together thought-leaders in growth marketing, alongside entrepreneurs with success stories and insight in digital marketing. The talking points were centered around technology, human development, commercial, creativity, and engineering. The events latter stages witnessed a networking session which oversaw connections between individuals, professionals, and industry leaders.
Cogite Coworking Space Hosted A Meetup In Tunisia
Cogite; a coworking space and event venue that is home to a vibrant community of impact-driven Tunisian entrepreneurs organized and hosted a meetup which featured Jazem Halioui, CEO of WebRadar Tunisia, who shared professional and life experiences. WebRadar is a Tunisian startup that is leveraging Artificial Intelligence to improve understanding of the world through the utilization of publicly-available information on the internet. During the event which took place at Berges du Lac in Tunis on Thursday, July 12th, the CEO spoke about fear and how to conquer it in the process of getting started with accomplishing a new idea or a business. Participants at the event were afforded the opportunity to pick the brains of the CEO as they got answers to telling questions which revolve around business development.
