Incofin Investment Management has announced two new investments totalling USD 1.55 M through its Nutritious Foods Financing Facility (N3F).
One of the investments is in Truk Rwanda, a cold chain logistics provider founded in 2019. Truk Rwanda offers cold storage and transport solutions for fresh fruits and vegetables, helping farmers in central Rwanda extend the shelf life of their produce. The N3F investment will fund the purchase of refrigerated trucks and hybrid cold rooms, enabling farmers to reduce food waste while maximizing their incomes. Truk Rwanda also facilitates farmer-to-vendor connections and provides informal training on post-harvest handling to preserve the nutritional quality of food.
The second investment supports Couvoir Amar, a Senegalese poultry company founded in 2017. Couvoir Amar focuses on increasing domestic poultry production to improve affordability for lower-income groups, addressing food security and nutritional gaps in Senegal.
These investments aim to strengthen food supply chains, reduce food waste, and enhance food accessibility in Rwanda and Senegal, aligning with N3F’s mission to improve African nutrition and food systems.
