Johannesburg-based REdimension Capital has closed its Real Estate Technology & Sustainability Fund I with over ZAR 250 M (~USD 14 M) in commitments, making it South Africa’s only fund dedicated to property technology and sustainability.
New backers include Hyprop Investments and RDC Property Group, joining an investor base with control of 750+ commercial buildings and 12 million sqm of lettable space, from Growthpoint Properties to Rand Merchant Bank.
Since launching in 2023, the fund has invested in startups like Admyt (ticketless parking), RE-Tec Solutions (tenant lifecycle management), and Roomking (informal rental market platform). The strategy is to back early-stage tech that improves operational efficiency, environmental performance, and tenant experiences.
Co-founders Peter Clark and Matthew Marshall say the goal is to be “a catalyst for digital transformation in the property sector”, combining capital, strategic partnerships, and industry networks to help startups scale across South Africa and beyond.
