Looking To Move? These African Countries Have The Highest Paying Jobs

By  |  March 13, 2020

Even as the job crisis in Africa is being reversed, more and more young people are looking for a means of tangible livelihood. Either it’s to support their families or live out a fulfilling career, the need to have one of the top jobs that pay well is something common with almost everybody.

So, where in Africa can one get a considerably fat paycheck without having to go tooth and nail for it? No, it is not Egypt, Nigeria or even Kenya. The parts of the continent where you would get the best monthly remuneration are quite surprising.

Leaning on data from Numbeo and a variety of other sources, here are the African countries where the the top jobs have a better pay and the cost of living is reasonably low.

Africa’s economic growth runs behind the continent’s growing population. Between 2000 and 2014, employment expanded by less than 1.8 percent a year, which is way under the nearly 3 percent annual growth of the labour force.

It is expected that by 2030, 30 million youth will be entering the African labour market on a yearly basis.
